School Philosophy

Our school program is structured to help students with learning differences develop the skills and resilience necessary for academic success and independent study.  By design, the school’s atmosphere is familial, understanding, open, and supportive.  Our small community not only offers students a challenging academic education but also provides opportunities for leadership.  We create opportunities for successes to be noticed and celebrated. 

Every day offers teachable moments for students to develop confidence, independence, and self-advocacy skills before transitioning to their next academic endeavor.  Tailored social programming helps students gain leadership skills, pursue interests and passions, feel a sense of belonging, and develop relational skills.

MADE Houston is a non-profit school for students in grades 1 through 8.  At MADE Houston we aim to have a diverse student population that mirrors what our students encounter outside of school. Some of our students have learning differences such as  Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, and Dysgraphia, or have a diagnosis of ADHD or ASD, while others may just do better in smaller classes.  Programming at MADE Houston is not designed or equipped to support students with certain conduct related diagnoses.
